1The service
ECU DATA supplies per-vehicle reports for the motor trade. You enter a registration, pay once, and get the vehicle identified: its specification, the ECU fitted and where it sits, the tools and methods used to read and write it, indicative Stage 1 figures, fuse box layouts, workshop notes, DPF guidance, and registration, tax and MOT detail.
We are an independent operation based in the United Kingdom, not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, tuning company or government body. Contact: web@ecu-data.net.
Using the service means you accept these terms.
2What a report contains
Content varies by vehicle. Some carry far more detail than others, and some sections will be absent. We don't guarantee that any particular field or section appears for any particular vehicle.
3Price and access
- A single report is £4.99. A pack of five is £19.99. Launch pricing; the price shown when you pay applies.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. Card details never reach us.
- You receive an access code. It opens your report from any device, as many times as you like, and does not expire. Keep it — anyone holding it can open the report.
- One credit unlocks one vehicle. Re-opening a vehicle already unlocked is free.
- Codes have no cash value and are not transferable for anything except reports on this service.
4Delivery and refunds
Reports are delivered immediately. At checkout you request immediate supply and confirm you understand this ends the 14-day cancellation right — that is what makes instant delivery possible.
Reports are not refundable once delivered. If we can't produce a report for the vehicle, you aren't charged.
5Data and verification
Reports draw on official DVLA vehicle records, DVSA MOT history and established automotive data sources.
Records describe a vehicle as registered — not as it stands today. Engines get swapped, ECUs replaced, filters removed, vehicles imported and re-registered. Reports are reference information supplied as is.
Verify against the vehicle before you act on anything. A report is not an instruction to open, read or write an ECU. That decision is yours.
6Using the service
- Look up vehicles you have a legitimate reason to look up.
- Don't scrape, bulk-download, resell, republish or redistribute reports or the data in them.
- Don't share codes at scale, bypass payment, or interfere with the service.
We may revoke a code without refund where we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of this section.
7Liability
This is information, not advice. What you do with it is your decision.
- We are not liable for anything arising from your use of a report — including damage to a vehicle, ECU or component, work that has to be redone, or time lost.
- We are not liable for indirect loss — profit, business, data or opportunity.
- Any liability is capped at what you paid for the report concerned.
Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot be excluded by law.
8General
We may change the service or these terms; the version published when you buy governs that purchase. Reports you have unlocked stay available while we operate the service. The site, its design and the way reports are assembled remain ours. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
